  Coil coating is the way in which the coating material is applied to a strip of steel or aluminum. A coil of sheet metal is fed continuously into the process, which is controlled by accumulators at each end of the line. They load the bare metal coils at one end and release the finished product at the other end. In between, a coil coating process is used. The answer can be boiled down to which of the two processes best meets the following criteria in   coating lines. 1. Cost-effectiveness of paints and powder coatings When considering economic factors, the main benefit of the powder coating process is its efficiency. With a typical transfer efficiency of 60-70%, approximately two-thirds of the powder used for a given application will achieve its intended purpose.
