1、Surface treatment

Surface treatment is one of the important processes of anti-rust coating. The quality of anti-rust coating of construction machinery depends largely on the way of surface treatment. Coating life is governed by 3 factors: surface treatment; coating construction; quality of the coating itself.
Mechanical cleaning can effectively remove the rust, welding slag, oxide skin on the workpiece, eliminate welding stress, increase the bonding force between the rust-proof coating film and the metal matrix, thus greatly improving the rust-proof quality of construction machinery parts.

The surface treatment of sheet metal stamping parts is generally called chemical surface treatment. Process can also be adjusted according to the thin plate stamping oil, rust situation, or without pickling process, or without pre-degreasing process. Degreasing and phosphating is the key process in the chemical treatment process, these two processes directly affect the quality of the chemical treatment of the workpiece and the quality of rust-proof coating. 2、Coating process

Due to the wide range of construction machinery, many specifications, heavy machine, large parts, generally use the spraying method for painting. Spraying tools are air spray gun, high-pressure airless spray gun, air-assisted spray gun and portable electrostatic spray gun. Air spray gun spraying efficiency is low, high-pressure airless spray gun waste of paint, the common feature of both is more serious environmental pollution, so has been and is being replaced by air-assisted spray gun and portable electrostatic spray gun.
Small and medium-sized parts can also use water curtain spray paint room or no pump spray paint room, the former has advanced performance, the latter is affordable, convenient and practical. As construction machinery and parts heavy, large heat capacity, therefore, the drying of its anti-rust coating, generally using baking uniform hot air convection drying method. Heat source can be adapted to local conditions, choose steam, electricity, light diesel, natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas, etc.

 

3、Coating material

Engineering machinery coatings should have the following characteristics :
Very small permeability to water, oxygen and corrosive media; strong and durable adhesion to the substrate; good rust prevention, decorative properties; special properties, such as insulation, electrical conductivity, heat insulation, etc.; appropriate coating system.
With the needs of industrial energy saving and environmental protection, under the condition of ensuring the above performance, the coating should also have low temperature and fast drying, environmental protection and energy saving performance, this kind of coating is also especially suitable for the production of large quantities of construction machinery parts and the coating of the whole machine.
At present, the coating used in domestic construction machinery is generally epoxy ester primer, polyurethane top coat. The former has good anti-rust performance, and the latter has good decorative properties.
